These functions automate common tasks relating to floor slabs and walls – from extending, reducing and creating floors within rooms and beneath doors to calculating gross external areas. This saves time during modelling whilst also providing key parameters for analyses and energy performance calculations.
Geometrie Tools
Connect Geometry

Connects walls, floor slabs, and topography elements cleanly so that intersections are displayed correctly. This ensures consistent geometry and prevents unwanted overlaps or display errors in sections and views.
Manage Connections
Displays all elements that are geometrically connected to a selected component—such as a topography element—in a clear list showing category and name. Existing connections can be selectively removed, and the linked project families can be selected and edited directly. This ensures full control over all geometry connections in the project at all times.
Floor in Room

Automatically places floors inside selected rooms. The floor type, thickness, wall reference line (e.g., core layer interior face), and an optional offset can be specified. Additionally, the offset value can be written directly into the room, and warning messages can be suppressed if needed—enabling fast and precise floor creation without manual drawing.
Extend Floor Slab

Extends an existing floor slab based on a drawn model line. This allows slab geometry to be adjusted quickly and accurately without redrawing or manually modifying the entire slab.
Reduce Floor Slab

Reduces an existing floor slab based on a drawn model line—the counterpart to the “Extend Floor Slab” function. Slab areas can be trimmed back quickly and precisely without manual geometric editing.
Automatically creates floor slabs beneath selected doors. By selecting the desired floor slabs and doors, the slab areas under door openings are generated automatically without the need for manual drawing.
Wall Exterior Surfaces
Automatically calculates the gross exterior surface area of each wall and writes the value directly as a parameter into the wall element. The entire surface is calculated without subtracting openings such as windows or doors. This information is especially important for energy calculations and KlimaHaus assessments, where the gross exterior surface is required to evaluate the building’s thermal envelope. Manual calculation and entry are completely eliminated.
